Sparta, TN: Summer Wedding at Vinson Farms - LC and Kelli
In May of 2017, LC and Kelli were excited to finally be graduating college together. They met on the job while working their way through college and had two awesome years together, during which they fell in love. In celebration of their graduation, they decided to take pictures. LC decided to capitalize upon the opportunity and while posing in front of the Cookeville sign, he asked Kelli to twirl. He threw up glitter in the air while she spun and when she turned back around, she found him on one knee.
Fast forward a whirlwind two years, two dream jobs, a house, and a child later, Kelli and LC decided to set the date to officially become Mr. and Mrs. Satterfield in September of 2019. They chose the backdrop of Vinson Farm to gather all their friends and family to celebrate. And that truly is what their wedding was, a celebration.
It was an unusually hot day despite being mid-September. The oppressive heat didn’t seem to dampen LC’s or Kelli’s spirits. In fact, they seemed almost oblivious to it in their happiness to finally have their special day. Their joyful attitudes were so contagious, everyone else seemed just as happy as they were.
A slight breeze helped give a little relief to those outside and made leaves dance while falling off trees. There under the cloudless blue sky, with the sounds of the fountain splashing in the background, and the aroma of lavender and eucalyptus, LC and his uncle walked out to the pavilion to await the wedding party under the hanging vine. One by one, each of the couples came down the aisle in a dance of rose-colored fabric. Next, a smile lit up LC’s face as their little two-year-old son came down the aisle with the sign “Daddy, here comes our girl.” Kelli was nervous as her carriage pulled up to her awaiting groom, but all the nerves fell away and were replaced with tears of happiness as she started her walk down the aisle to her beloved. LC joined her by wiping away tears of happiness of his own. There, with everyone they hold dear, they professed their love and devotion to one another. Kelli’s nerves still showed a little bit during the vows, causing a few chuckles, but the love they both share made them glow with happiness. Especially when they were finally pronounced man and wife.
Later, as the sun sank below the horizon and the air cooled off, the couple let all the nerves of earlier in the day melt away as they celebrated, drank, and danced with their friends and family. The couple and their friends seem to have a blast doing Jello shots together and playing with sparklers once dusk settled. Twinkle lights glittered as the couple slowed danced together at the end of their special day.
LC and Kelli, it was an honor to be apart of your long-awaited day. I had such a fun time, and y’all were just the best sports despite the heat. I still may not believe that y’all don’t have modeling in your past! The love and respect you both have for each other was apparent all day long in so many little ways, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know y’all as a couple. I hope you had a wonderfully romantic time in Mexico. Y’all are a blessed little family, and I wish you both the best!
