Livingston, TN: Standing Stone State Park Spring Elopement - Jared and Lindsey

I have known Jared ever since he was 8 years old. He has always been a quiet, sweet, caring guy. It was hard to imagine he would ever find anyone with as big a heart as his, but he did when he met Lindsey.

It’s hard to pinpoint the exact moment he and Lindsey met, but through the years they grew to be friends. Their relationship, like any other, has had it’s high and low points, but it wasn’t until the past 2 years that they became an official couple. There was a familiar ease between the two of them that was plain for anyone to see. Lindsey could make Jared laugh like no one else ever had and Jared became a source of additional strength for Lindsey. However, what they both were looking for, they found in each other: someone with a caring heart for others and the Lord. The longer they were together, the more they knew this wasn’t just a passing fling.

Last summer Jared decided to propose to his favorite fishing buddy during a photo shoot. Lindsey knew he had been saving up for a ring, but was totally shocked when the last pose including him getting down on one knee. She kept saying, “I can’t believe you got me! I never thought you could!” while smacking his arm.

Their wedding day dawned with the bright sun peeking through fluffy, white clouds. Red buds were blooming far and wide and everywhere you looked one could see the first signs of spring. There was a hint of a chill in the early morning air as Jared arrived at Standing Stone State Park decked out in cowboy boots and hat with his two best friends and his little son in tow, ready to wed his bride.

The Saturday before he and Lindsey chose to elope with their two best friends and both of their kids and meet up at the back of the Tea Room at Standing Stone State Park. An hour and a half after Jared arrived Lindsey came flying up. “I’ll be late to my own funeral!” Lindsey joked, though she also mentioned she was worried Jared would be upset about her tardiness. Instead, Jared took it in stride and was just happy to finally be marrying his bride.

There on the back porch, with Jared’s Dad officiating, Jared and Lindsey exchanged their vows to each other. The rest of the day you couldn’t wipe the smile off of either of their faces, and often you would just catch Lindsey looking adoringly at her new husband.

Jared and Lindsey, thank you so much for allowing me to be one of the very few who got to be a part of your special day. I’m so happy for both of you! Jared, it makes me happy to finally see you so happy and settled. Lindsey, you are such a good fit for our Jared, welcome to the family!
