Jamestown, TN: Classic Fall Wedding - AJ and Lindsey
Lindsey had just about given up finding a man who held her same beliefs and values. People even teased her that she needed to go to different churches to find a man.
God had other plans.
In fact, Lindsey and AJ’s love story shows God’s fingerprints all over it.
Since they lived two hours apart they never would have met without the nudge of a family friend. The friend, who was just about to move away, mentioned to Lindsey’s dad that he knew a fine, single young man the same age as Lindsey. After that dinner conversation with his friend, Lindsey’s dad called her up and asked her, “Would you like this guy’s number?” To which Lindsey replied doubtfully, “Sure. Though I’m sure nothing will come of it.”
AJ actually called her not too long after that, and Lindsey’s surprise, “nothing” turned into a 4-hour phone call. They both hit it off instantly. In November of last year, they met each other in person at a Cracker Barrel. Five months later AJ asked Lindsey if she wanted to go fishing, but when the day came she was sick with a cold. So, he told her to put on something nice and he would just take her to Cracker Barrel instead. It happened to be that same Cracker Barrel that they had met each other for the first time. When AJ hugged Lindsey hello after just picking her up, she noticed that his heart was beating super hard. When she asked him about it he just brushed aside her comment and told her he had, “Ran up the stairs.” Later he pulled into the same spot that they both saw each other for the first time. There by the blooming dogwood trees, to shock Lindsey, AJ proceeded to get down on one knee. While super surprised, she still managed to say yes!
Their wedding day in October dawned cool and gray compared to the sweltering heat the week before. Fall was letting everyone know that it was finally here even if the leaves hadn’t turned yet. Fresh pink and burgundy flowers and roses graced surfaces all over the church. The flowers, along with sheer pink tulle, and light streaming through the stain-glassed windows creating a dreamy traditional look.
Prewedding jitters were high until Lindsey caught her first sight of AJ, and then the tears of happiness started flowing. It was clear throughout the day how much they cared for each other and their family. The pastor who introduced them conducted the ceremony, adding a sweet element to the ceremony. The happy couple spent the rest of the afternoon surrounded by family and friends while enjoying a meal and time together.
AJ and Lindsey, you both were amazing all day and it was a joy to capture your first moments as husband and wife. Your story reminds me so much of my own love story. Always remember how God brought you to each other. I’m so thankful God also saw fit for our paths to cross. I wish you both a lifetime of happy memories!
