Livingston, TN: Standing Stone State Park - Cameron and Clarissa

Some people can’t remember the first time they met. For Clarissa and Cameron, it seems like they have known each other their whole lives because their Moms had been friends since they were babies. They had grown up seeing each other on and off, playing together, and just being friends.

As teens, they enjoyed racing motor bikes together across fields and hanging out. Cameron had a crush on Rissa for forever, but it took several years for him to convince her to go out with him. It wasn’t that she didn’t like Cameron, she just didn’t want to ruin a good friendship. Finally, two years ago, he convinced her to give dating him a try. It wasn’t long after that that their lifelong friendship budded into a romance.

Last Christmas, Cameron used the guise of his Aunt taking pictures of them for their Christmas present as a perfect opportunity to pop the question. They met his Aunt on a cold December day at an old abandoned farm house. After a bit, Cameron’s Aunt distracted Rissa by asking her if there was a bug next to her on the old house. While Rissa was distracted and looking away, Cameron quickly bent on one knee and pulled the ring out of his pocket. As soon as Rissa turned back around, she started bawling like a baby.

The August day they chose to wed dawned bright and beautiful. The day had an ever-so-slight hint that fall was around the corner with its mild temperature and blissful slight, cool breeze. The bride and groom chose to see each other for the first time in a private moment on the back deck of the Standing Stone State Park Tea Room. With a huge grin on her face and a few tears leaking out, Rissa floated down the rock steps like a princess into the waiting arms of Cameron who was choking back his own tears.

Later, as the sun set behind the mountain view background, the couple asked just their immediate family and closest friends to join them out on that same deck for a short but sweet ceremony. Despite having already seen each other before the ceremony, Clarissa couldn’t help but cry as she came down the aisle for the second time that day, this time to marry her best friend.

Rissa and Cameron, it was an honor to be chosen to document your long-awaited day. I wish you both a lifetime of continued friendship, love, and hopefully lots of cute children for me to spoil rotten! Lots of Love - Charity
