Walling, TN: Sherry Vinson Farm Wedding - Steven and Casey
Never underestimate the power of a blind date. Last summer, mutual friends of Casey and Steven convinced both of them to go see the movie “War Dog” together. Steven jokes that their first date had to be in a dark theater so she couldn’t see him. Dark or not, it’s obvious that the date was a success. Such a success, that one day Steven wrote a little note on the movie ticket from that first date, placed it on a ring box, and got down on one knee.
Steven and Casey chose an amazing location for their perfect day. A farm nestled in rolling hills with cows speckled on the horizon had a huge barn, pavilion, farmhouse, and pond with a fountain and dock. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky on the calm, spring day in April. Newly formed leaves were on all the trees, and bushes were blossoming with beautiful flowers. Touches of light pink and pale blue mason jars graced surfaces everywhere, while a wedding dress hung on a mannequin in the quaint old living room waiting to be worn. There was dreamy feel as a cool breeze blew through the windows of the old farmhouse. Strains of country love songs played in the background as the girls got ready in the house, filling the rooms with happy voices. Casey sat calmly in her robe with an excited smile gracing her face. By the pond, a nervous Steven was eagerly awaiting his first glimpse of Casey under the dancing branches of a willow tree by the pond. He soon broke out in a huge grin as Casey came walking out to him in a swirl of tulle, and she lovingly wiped his tears away as they stood swaying in a tender embrace.
Soon it was time for the ceremony and Casey carefully climbed into an awaiting pumpkin shaped horse-drawn carriage outside and was driven around the pond to the end of the aisle. A set of doors that had been placed at the beginning of the aisle were opened, and Casey floated down the aisle on the arm of her father. There under an archway, with the pond sparkling in the background and the lulling sound of the fountain splashing, Casey embraced Steven again…but this time as his new bride.
Later that afternoon, they spent time with all their friends and family in the big barn eating nachos and vanilla cake. Twinkle lights hung everywhere while Casey and Steven slow danced in front of everyone. They took a quick break from dancing to have a fun run through the sparklers and hug everyone goodbye. Strains of music could still be heard by all the guests as they all loaded up in a horse-drawn wagon and were pulled back to their cars with the sun setting in the distance. Meanwhile, Casey and Steven remained behind to dance together alone as a romantic ending to their perfect day.
Steven and Casey, your day was magical! You couldn’t have asked for a better day weather wise. Your Venue was amazing, and y’all were just the cutest. I love couples that all I have to do is stand them together and then just stand back and click… you were one of those couples. You were both just the sweetest to watch. I loved the fact that your day really was all about the two of you and that you wanted a lot of time alone together. I hope you had a blast in Jamaica and that you always love being together the rest of your lives! Thanks for picking me to be the one to document your dream day!
Forget hangers, I now want a mannequin. Major points for Sherry Vinson Farms for having one!
Dallas Dyal did an amazing job on hair and makeup and robes just add such a nice such to getting ready photos....especially cute ones like these!
The old farm house had such a dreamy, vintage feel.
I adore first looks. There is just something so special about the moment they get to see each other for the first time being more private and couple get to relish the moment longer. Steven broke down when he saw how beautiful Casey was.
I had to do very little posing with these two....
Casey... girl..... could you be any more stunning?
This Venue was amazing! So many neat details were included....including horse-drawn carriages!
Casey was in her Cinderella element.
