Livingston, Tennessee: Country Fall Wedding - Josh and Amelia

Sometimes you just can’t take no for an answer.

Well, at least Josh wouldn’t.

From the first time he saw her he was smitten. Amelia, on the other hand, took longer to convince. A lot longer. She thought…and her Dad thought…he was a little too wild. While it was true they came from polar opposite backgrounds, they had one major thing in common: Their faith in Christ. In fact, that is how they first got to know each other. Amelia’s church is the one Josh chose to attend after asking Christ to be his Savior when he was a teenager. Over the next year, Josh attended the church faithfully and slowly proved them both wrong. After many, many months Josh finally convinced Amelia and her Dad to let him court her. Over the next few years, Josh proved to be the perfect fit for Amelia. When her oldest sister, Danielle, died suddenly in a car accident, he met the family at the hospital and never left Amelia’s side. When her family moved to Texas to start a church, he moved down to help them. Each thing convinced Amelia more and more that Josh is who she would marry.

Finally after 4 years the time had come. Josh chose to pop the question in Alpine, Tennessee while they were visiting Amelia’s grandparents for The Rod Run. Alpine was one of Amelia’s favorite places in the world. It was her hometown; her grandparents still lived there; and her sister Danielle had lived there before she died. He chose to propose there since it was as close to Danielle as Amelia could get. They had met at church so it seemed only fitting to propose after church.

Amelia’s dream had always been to get married in Tennessee around Alpine, on a farm, in the fall. She had also dreamed of her daddy singing Butterfly Kisses right before she went down the aisle. That fall afternoon all of her dreams came true. There wasn’t a dry eye after he father finished singing and went back down the aisle to get his little girl one last time. He gave her hand to Josh along with the purity ring they gave Amelia when she was younger. He then conducted them through their vows. At the end, right before their first kiss ever, he asked Josh how long he had waited for this moment. To which Josh replied 5 years, 1 month, and 2 days.

Josh and Amelia, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your long awaited day. There were so many special, touching moments. It was a joy to capture your first hours as husband and wife. I don’t think I have ever just had to stand back and snap instead of posing my couples! Y’all were perfect and sweet to watch. You will never regret the wait.

Persnippity Salon did an awesome job on Amelia's makeup and Nicole Hughes did a beautiful job on her hair!

One of my favorite shots from the day...

Amelia, your beauty radiates inside and out.

Three generations of wedding rings.

Selfie time!

The moment was so sweet when her Dad gave Amelia and her ring to Josh.

5 year, 1 month, 2 days wait was finally over.

I think she was pretty excited!

Amelia's friend, Betty Gentry, came all the way from Virginia. She did such a lovely, yummy job on the cake! Each layer was a different flavor with different fillings.
